Has code enforcement become so overwhelmed that it has retreated

North Cape May - Has code enforcement become so overwhelmed that it has retreated and allowed homeowners to designate which codes they will choose to follow? As a lifelong resident, I can’t believe the negligence that continues in our community. When did it become acceptable to park on front lawns, and/or create dirt driveways on unpaved portions of residential properties? Shouldn’t vehicles be parked on the street when there is no true driveway? Shouldn’t shrubs/trees be trimmed back enough to not block sidewalk pathways and allow clear view of drives, and intersections? Non-enforcement is the real problem.
