North Cape May - Freeholder Thorton showed the true colors of the Republican party when he noted the extra work resulting from 1,684 applications for health insurance as a result of the Affordable Care Act. These are 1,684 Cape May County residents who now will receive health care, which is a good thing. He states in last week's Herald, "We can't tolerate it when the Feds dump on us." Thorton, the county you represent has one of the highest levels of unemployment in the state. Many people work two jobs or more at minimum wage salaries, year after year. Now, many will finally get health care.
