North Cape May - The content of the beach rules is not as offensive as the manner in which the rec. board and council went about the process of restating what already existed and has not been enforced. A question needs to be asked about whether the public access is meant to encourage the whole country to frequent a small, residential beach or if the intent was simply to permit access to the shoreline. It seems that exploiting the shore for economical advantage is the driving force behind the rec. board's relentless pursuit of the small, bay front beach. Once it is gone, sadly, we will never get it back.
