North Cape May - The argument has been for years now, that short term rentals should be taxed equitably across the board but some towns will not enforce the issue. Now there are several hundreds of Air B&Bs and the towns are just starting to realize the lost revenue source. Don't shoot the messenger but it is apparent that people are trying to hide their short term rentals to beat the system, which is unfair to everyone else coping with higher costs of operation for established lodging. This is becoming a hot bed issue as people are looking to convert buildings for extra income.
