A spouter recently wrote of their disdain for the homeless in our neck of the woods. To quote the spouter, “These individuals need to know they are not welcome…. They should have only a choice to leave and pointed to the direction of the nearest homeless shelter.” Well, we do not have a shelter for the homeless in Cape May County. Some other counties do. Is the spouter suggesting that we send our homeless children, women and men to them?… How inhumane life would be if all of us could get rid of difficulties and responsibilities simply by placing them on the shoulders of others.
