The sad truth is that the township should never have gotten involved in purchasing the beach property in 2000, along the bay from the Mitnick Estate with Stewart Foundation monies. This was the beginning of the current state of affairs. Remember, Lower Twp. doesn't make a penny off of the beaches as on the islands, and expends hundreds of hours in services by the road, recreation and police departments. Things were simple on the beach before the purchase; now the horse is out of the barn and the headaches for the manager and council will go on forever! Some things are best left alone!
