As a retired U.S. Army sergeant, I can assure readers here that the last thing our military brass wants is another draft. Even with our present volunteer Army, many precious man hours are spent instilling some sense of the intensity and discipline necessary for a soldier, let alone trying to work with disgruntled, indifferent, hostile draftees.
