North Cape May

In response to the Do The Shore article about bringing the Mardi Gras excessive partying to the Jersey Shore. I'm sure we can do without it. Shrove Tuesday is the Christian Observance of the last day before the start of Lent. Sweet Pancakes is the go-to treat, the Kings Cake is a hold-over from the Christian Holiday of 3 Kings Day (Epiphany), January 6th. It is good to acknowledge it is a Christian Observance, but this modern tradition of Mardi Gras that almost anything goes, excess food, and drunkenness is Ok, because it's a Christian Holiday, is offensive to say the least.
