Recently, I had a family member admitted to a facility. She was put at the end of a unit, where no one came for hours to check on her. She had to call the nurse for her meals, which arrived two and a half hours later, and then no one came to pick them up. She was released to another facility for rehabilitation and received the same treatment. I sat with her for over three hours and not one person even looked in the room to see if she was alright. I understand these facilities are busy, but what happens to those who really need help?
