RE: The Erma comment on kids wearing bicycle helmets. Give me a break! Growing up here many years ago, this area was a wooded area, and in these woods, we built forts. Many of our forts were over 30 ft. above the ground. No one fell and no one died. We would swim across the canal and never got hit by speeding boats. We dove off the train bridge and no one drowned. We would take a flat bottom wooden boat with a tiller motor halfway across the bay and no one died. When the tires were worn out on our bikes, we rode on the steel rims. No one died. Let kids be kids!
