The proposed walkway along Beach and Shore Drive has been voted down because good, caring people came to the full house meeting May 30. I really believe the mayor and council members at the meeting were amazed and really caught off guard at the turnout. The people against this project came fully prepared with educated reasons why this project should not go forward. And so it won't. When the public gets involved, good things can happen. Let's continue, not only here, but state-wide and country-wide. The politicians need to remember that they work for us.
