As long as I have lived in Lower, I have not heard of a child being mauled by a dog. Everyone I know has a dog that has escaped or played Houdini. Now, because of all this hype, everyone who ever has a dog loose will be punished, which is wrong. PD and animal control will now be overzealous with all dogs at large. I hope this hype stops as now everyone will be issued a summons for Fido getting out. Sadly, some large breed dogs are small-animal aggressive and now we are all going to suffer the consequences because of it. Better keep your dogs inside and chained up.
