I would like to know why Wawas in North Cape May and Villas and CVS in Villas are not assessed for property tax in Lower Twp. Do these businesses pay any property taxes to the township? All of the other small businesses seem to be assessed for property tax, therefore, why should they be an exception? Lower Twp. tax office or our elected officials should make a public statement and explain why.
Moderator's Note: According to online tax records, the Wawas and the CVS are currently up to date with all taxes. Several properties are owned by other entities, but the company pays the bill.
