I read today that the least percentage of the population that has the coronvirus are children. The highest rate of this virus is people aged 20 to 54. Seniors are in the middle. This makes sense to me, because the 20 to 54 year old people are the ones who socialize and shop and go to work and more likely to visit bars and restaurants.
