I bought a house here, three blocks from the bay, after I retired last year, thinking I would be able to run a few miles a day, ride my bike with my grand kids on Beach Dr., and watch the bay and ferry go by. I almost get hit by a car every time I go. I had to stop taking the grand kids as there is no place on the street for them to ride their bikes without getting hit. A promenade would be great. It would protect bike riders and runners from the traffic that goes by at 60 mph. I could enjoy looking at the sunset and not constantly looking behind me to see which car could run me over next.
