I am relatively new to the North Cape May area, and I am following the Herald to get a feel for what our area is about. I noticed a spout about the North Cape May beach property purchase online. I read the letter, and it appears to me that this purchase was unnecessary since the beaches were used by the public anyway. Now that the government owns the property, it will be their duty to maintain the area, and all other aspects under the laws of the state. My question to council, why the purchase? Who benefited and why at an early morning meeting?
