Newton PA - I went to check my 2nd home in Avalon recently. I was anxious to get there. Now having gone and returned, I have had an ah-ha moment. First, I was struck by the density of housing in Avalon/Stone Harbor/Sea Isle, etc. I immediately felt ill-at-ease, even though no one was around. I saw the area in a new light, and I saw how easy it is to convince yourself of its false idyllic qualities. My family and I are actively discussing selling as soon as possible.I am sad, but the veil has been lifted, the curtain drawn back.
