Some of the elected and even non-elected people in municipal or county government couldn't care less about what any resident thinks. They won't respond to emails or phone calls or letters. They'll just do whatever they want and the elected individuals really don't care because in most cases they are all running unopposed. They can be as arrogant as they want. They know they'll win and they'll keep their equally horrible non-elected friends in their government positions. The non-elected ones won't respond to the public either. County government is absolutely terrible.
