Middle Township - Teacher insurance plans are not "platinum." Teachers shouldn't have to accept inferior insurance or be taxed more. An Upper spouter is right about insurance being part of the compensation package and not a "benefit." I've done my research too and teachers shouldn't have to accept lesser insurance plans just because that's what other employers offer. Teachers have lost so much take-home pay to the insurance tax.
