In response to the Herald article regarding shortage of teachers

Middle Township - In response to the Herald article regarding shortage of teachers. Thanks to NJEA & the former governor Christie new teachers now have to work 40+ years for their Pension! Where as, paid police and firemen are eligible for their pensions in 25 years with health benefits. In short, the teaching shortage was self inflicted in 2011 with the pension reform act. It’s a no-brainer for young people to become a cop or firemen!!
