Middle Township - The real bridge scandal in NJ is the Cape May County Bridge Commission. Year after year, the salaries and benefits for toll collectors, executives and administrative personnel exceed toll and other revenue taken in by several hundred thousand dollars. It was reported the last year by $533,000. When the bridges need inspection, the work is contracted out. When bridges need repair, bonds are issued to raise the money. So the agency only exists to give basically do-nothing jobs to the well connected. This goes beyond mismanagement.
