Middle Township - The next time anyone is pulled over by a police officer, turn your smart phone on record. If you feel like this officer is doing anything that is not part of protocol go straight to the county prosecutor's office with your recording and you will soon see the nonsense stop. Let the officer know that the stop is being recorded and his reaction should tell you how things are going to turn out. These smart phones will protect both parties and it is legal to tape in New Jersey as long as just one person knows in that conversation; strange but true. I tell you this if you opt out of telling the cop.
