Middle Township - At Middle Township Middle School, a program has been put in place for two years now, where students are literally ranked. The PAWS program was enlisted, not to reward students, but to get a higher attendance rate. The rankings are based on grades, attendance, sports, clubs, and disciplinary actions, but the system is swayed. If you have straight As but don't do a sport or are tardy once, you can be on the same level as someone who got suspended, twice. How is that fair? Our school tagline is "diversity is our strength," yet none of us can be unique. It seems only athletes matter.
