Middle Township - Middle Township has one of the lowest average property taxes in the entire state of New Jersey, according to NJ.com. Not bad, considering there are over 600 municipalities in the state. My taxes are approximately $5,200 on a 2,200-square-foot home while the same size house in Woolwich Township in Gloucester County is $9,800. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out who is always complaining about property taxes at election time. Those negative politicians are against our schools, county and fire districts.
