Middle Township - I support raising the gas tax if all Parkway, Turnpike, and AC Expressway tolls are eliminated as part of the deal. Tolls are the least cost effective way to fund roads because so much money just goes into toll collection itself. Even EZ Pass is a scam. Tolls are business and tourism unfriendly too. Businesses pass the toll costs onto our goods and services. So even if you don't drive toll roads, you're paying tolls. Eliminate the highway authorities and have the NJDOT take over the Parkway, Expressway and Turnpike.
