Middle Township - I started watching Middle Twp. football in the 60s, I played in the 70s, I watched my friends play in the 80s, and I started coaching in the 90s. High school football is not the same as it was. It is much harder to win today than yesterday. The kids don’t play football after school, they play Madden. Parents don’t want their kids to get hurt, there are more choices for after-school fun, and the state only lets teams hit for half an hour a week. For a football program to be successful, you not only need a solid coach and staff, you need community support. Middle does a good job with what we have.
