The Spout Off has always been a cesspool of rants and local gossip and I can't believe how sloppy it's become. In the age of social media, press oversight should be held to a higher standard. On the other side of the coin, naming people who work under elected officials or other government offices is just stirring the pot of libel and goes against Herald's own comment standards.
