Middle Township - The Avalon spouter was right about the ridiculousness of liquor licenses. The number of liquor licenses should not be limited based on population nor should they only be sold from one business to another. Anyone who wants to open a bar should be able do so without having to buy a liquor license. New Jersey's outdated liquor license laws stifle competition and make it more expensive to start a new bar or restaurant. Having more new bars would drive down drink prices as existing bars would have to compete price wise. Liquor licenses should be free to any new bar.
