Middle Township - Another summer of terrapins being hit by cars in spite of obvious and easy ways to prevent it. First, stop building new homes along roads leading to the marsh. Terrapins have no dry upland areas to lay their eggs. Second, install durable permanent terrapin barriers along the shoulders of the roads bordering marsh wherever they can be installed. It could be plastic, steel or aluminum sheets secured to guard rails.
