Middle Township - In addition to hundreds of billions of dollars in direct payments to most American families, the American Rescue Plan — passed without a single Republican vote, extends federal unemployment benefits, includes an extra $7.25 billion in small business loans; and a $25 billion fund for food and drinking establishments. It expands food stamps, and increases federal support for child and dependent care. Put all this together and the bill is expected to reduce overall poverty by more than a third and child poverty by more than half.
