To The Wrap: College Closings It's about time for people to realize that college is a big business, and sometimes not a good investment for the student. It's not that a college degree is not worth pursuing, but just look at what your tuition pays for that has nothing to do with education. Colleges today virtually own cities, they have luxury dorms, incorporate extravagant stores and leisure services that have nothing to do with education or degree. The average student graduates with 100 to 200k of debt that takes decades to pay off. A better choice would be a trade, many cannot fill their jobs and AI will not replace them.
