We have the right to our choices, and to understand that our choices come with consequences. Even for those of us who deem ourselves law abiding make thoughtless choices with unseen consequences . Others live by feelings, and we can see the disaster this causes in the lives of the individuals and unfortunately the lives of innocent bystanders.
