We are starting to see more and more take-home patrol cars in driveways. Then you see all new vehicles being bought and put into use. I hope the next election puts people into office who know how to say no to these departments requesting high-dollar equipment. There is not a good enough reason for police to take home taxpayer vehicles when this township is buying more at our expense. If an officer needs to show up while off duty why can't they take their own car? Citizens drive their own cars to work daily. If an off duty officer has to show up, than the force is undermanned. No more cars.
