To the Spouters arguing about the Middle Township Fire Siren, I agree with points made on both sides. While I do want this siren to go off when an automobile accident or a structure fire is reported, do we really need to have this siren go off for "reported smoke on the side of the road," which I just heard? Or other, less life-threatening situations. I think there is middle ground here that would greatly reduce the number of times is goes off while still helping to assemble volunteers for the most dire situations.
