NJ saltwater fishing regulations are a joke and must be set and approved by idiots .One really bad example is Winter Flounder , yes there are fewer than years past, However current 2023 regulations have a season from Mar 1 to Dec 31st. When the actual migration inshore begins in mid -Dec and they begin leaving inshore waters to go back offshore in Late March and all gone by end of April. This is just more evidence that NJ saltwater marine Regulators have no idea what they are doing when it comes to saltwater fishing regulations . One sorry State for setting fishing regulations
