Middle boys varsity program; I realize that this is a young team, but there are many like ours. The teams that overcome their age and size usually have a strong leader and this person conveys a strategy and a discipline, that when followed, usually converts to more good than bad. The temporary coaches have neither, as far as I can see, which leads to the kids running the show, not the coach. One on one play is not a remedy for success. An open shot is always better than a contested one, and sometimes it helps having a smart kid be your leader on the floor to set up those open shots.
