It's amazing how many people who have never taught in a public school feel compelled to chime in about "classroom management." It should be simple. Zero tolerance for student defiance and disrespect. All public schools need the ability to expel students. Once students realized the schools were really in charge, and any student that didn't conform to school policy was "removed," the other students would get their act together. Teachers are undermined by weak administrators that never give students the penalties they deserve and laws that protect student "rights."
