I found the recent spout about all the articles about dogs interesting. I recently worked on a project for our condominium complex on rules about dog ownership, dog restricted areas, etc. I learned that about 25 percent of people in the USA suffer from cynophobia, which is the abnormal, intense fear of dogs. This phobia, like acrophobia, claustrophobia, etc., is irrational and hard to overcome. Usually when someone says they don't like dogs it is because they are afraid of them. Unfortunately many dog owners are unaware or unsympathetic to people who suffer from this condition.
