I congratulate the student who wrote, "As an 18-year-old black student with a 3.6 GPA who graduated from Middle Twp. in 2013, and who never once got in trouble, I am very hurt by the racist spout." The unfortunate thing about racism is that it works from both sides. By embracing stereotypical, negative behavior, certain moguls in the African American community are capitalizing on "Gangsta Rap," violence and drug-oriented entertainment that quite blatantly threatens the establishment, particularly the white establishment. Young people like this student are the ones who should be emulated.
