A couple of years ago, I was falsely arrested in this twp., mostly because of misunderstanding by a police officer. The next day, I was issued a phone apology and asked not to sue the department. The captain that I spoke with seemed sincere and told me the department would be retrained and disciplined. About a year later, the arresting officer was sent to our street for a call. In front of my neighbor, this officer told us that nothing was ever done to retrain and discipline anyone, and I was told what I wanted to hear. We now have issues trusting this dept.
