The County does need to get back to preserving open spaces with the open spaces funds. There is still a lot of land at risk of being destroyed by development. Preserving open space also helps prevent further property tax increases. More development doesn't lower taxes, it results in tax increases. There is no need for the County to reject land owner that is willing to sell their land to be preserved. We need to save much more open space!
