Cape May County needs to be more aggresive in open space preservation. Too many people moved here which resulted in too much open space and farmland being destroyed. Every acre of remaining open space is worth preserving. More development not only destroys open space but also raises property taxes. What made this county a nice place to live was its small population and open spaces/natural areas. We need a permanent ban on new home construction in the county. More people and more new homes will make this county not as nice of a place to live.
