Middle should NOT build 189 homes at the old concrete plant in Rio Grande. We do not have many yr. round jobs here and don’t need added competition for those jobs. Middle already sold out by doing the same thing at the old farm on Rte 9 just south of 47 which didn't help our own but brought a migration from neighboring counties. The builder got a sweetheart “payment in lieu of taxes” deal and now MT residents property taxes must subsidize the bill for schooling, bussing, trash, police… etc. Instead of building, get the yr. round trailer parks to count as affordable housing.
