Marmora - To a spouter saying that any child who has a mother with bipolar disorder will be abused, that is a hasty generalization. In fact, according to Robert L. Findling, a psychiatrist at John Hopkins University, somebody who has a parent with BPDS [borderline personality disorder] has a 6 percent higher chance to be abused compared to someone who has a parent without BPDS. It is a logical fallacy to assume that all children with mothers who have BPDS will most likely undergo some form of abuse.
