Marmora - County first responders aren't really open to county dispatch, as reporters are stating. They are now pushing for responders to move to a 700 mhz radio system, which is a very costly (and untested) investment for most of the county's departments. Many of the volunteers have personally owned radios that they use currently. It's also removing jobs from local dispatchers, and potentially bringing in a non-local dispatcher with zero knowledge of the area, other than what his/her computer screen is telling them.
