Government needs to get out of the coastal property protection business. End beach replenishment and the national flood insurance program. It's socialism for the wealthy. Why should taxpayers have to pay to protect the beach homes of the wealthy? If you don't want your home destroyed by the ocean, don't live near the ocean! If you choose to live near the ocean, then pay for your own private property insurance and beach replenishment. There will always be a beach, with or without homes.
