Many times people have exhausted every effort to address a problem in the public sector with the appropriate resources, and seen no improvement. Often these people reach out to elected officials in local, state, and even federal government. Pay attention to the politicians who respond and don’t respond to their constituents. Politicians are public servants, their response is not necessarily out of obligation or responsibility, but a commitment to their community. A mayor lacking this willingness is not likely to gain it as a congressman.
