Many Presidents before Trump considered attacking Iran. Likely all of them. But they realized attacking would open up a huge can of slimy worms. It took a complete narcissist like Trump to believe the outcome would be different than all the other Presidents. Guess what? He’s dealing with what they, and all their generals and CIA warned of. Fighting a religious war with an Islamic state can go sideways very quickly.
