Many people are appreciative of the new beach mats. They are labeled as being for light duty. The lifeguards weren't in favor of these mats. I have seen life guard trucks with boat trailers driving up the beach centered right on the mats. Doesn't seem like this should be allowed. It will shorten the life of one of the best things the city has done! Please stop these vehicles!
