Mamora - A lot of the police officers I've met and dealt with are veterans. Not a surprise considering the laws giving veterans preference over public jobs. I'm going to get some backlash for saying this, but I feel as if a lot of them are taking their combat training and experience, and employing it here on our streets. I see more and more cops keeping up with the stereotype; wearing combat boots, BDU style uniform pants, tactical leg drop holsters and even flak jackets/chest rigs.
